Ongoing schemes:
1.PM KisanSammanNidhi (PM-KISAN)
Objective: The PM-KISAN scheme ensures direct financial support to farmers.
Key Provisions:
Farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three equal instalments.
The payment is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) directly into farmers’ bank accounts.
Achievements:
25,432 eligible farmers have completed full Aadhaar authentication and seeding.
24,644 farmers possess Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.
96.1% of authenticated farmers have successfully received all 20 instalments, ensuring consistent and direct income support.
2.PradhanMantriFasalBimaYojana (PMFBY)
Objective:Provide crop insurance to farmers to protect against natural calamities, pests, and weather risks.
Key Provisions:
farmers pay a minimal premium—2% for Kharif crops, 1.5% for Rabi crops, and 5% for commercial and horticultural crops—while the remaining premium is subsidized by the government.
The scheme covers pre-sowing to post-harvest losses
Achievements:
Enrollment for theKharif 2025-26 season has achieved 109% of the target, with 6,234 farmers covered
3.Horticulture Mission for North Eastern Himalaya States (HMNEH)
Objective: Promote holistic growth of horticulture (fruits, vegetables, flowers)
Key Provisions:
Financial support for nursery, post-harvest, processing.
Encourages value-added horticultural products and better yields.
Achievements:
100% of planting materials against allotment have been received and distributed to farmers:
Pineapple (suckers), Black Pepper (seedlings), Cocoa (seedlings), Guava (seedlings), Dragon Fruit (seedlings)
4.National Mission on Edible Oils (NMEO – Oilseeds & Oil Palm)
Objective: Increase production of oilseeds and oil palm to reduce dependence on edible oil imports.
Key Provisions:
Support for farmers to grow oilseeds.
Promotion of oil palm cultivation in suitable areas.
Focus on improving yield, processing, and supply chain.
Under NMEO–OP, farmers receive assistance for planting material, maintenance, intercropping, irrigation, seed nurseries, processing units, and price assurance
Achievements:
The scheme has a target of 2,249 ha, under which seedlings for 1,500 ha (214,500 seedlings) have been supplied, plantation is ongoing over 1,500 ha, and 1,154 farmers have received the benefits.
5.Per Drop More Crop (PDMC)
Objective: Improve water-use efficiency in agriculture by promoting micro-irrigation (drip, sprinkler) and better water management.
Key Provisions:Subsidies for drip and sprinkler systems.
Achievements:
558 Drip & Mini-Sprinkler units have been installed till date, bringing 68.4% of the year's target area under efficient micro-irrigation.
6.Soil Health & Fertility (SH&F)
Objective: Enhance soil fertility, optimize fertilizer use, and maintain soil health for sustainable agriculture
Key Provisions:
- The Soil Health Card scheme is a part: farmers get a card with soil test reports and fertilizer recommendations.
Achievements:
Against the yearly target of 6,000, a total of 40,460 soil samples were collected, 340 Soil Health Cards were distributed, and 3,360 farmers were benefitted.
7.RashtriyaKrishiVikasYojana(RKVY)
Objective: To achieve a significant and inclusive growth rate in agriculture and allied sectors
RKVY-RAFTAAR:
The modern version, which stands for "Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied sector Rejuvenation," aims to build an agri-business ecosystem and support startups through various components
Achievements:
- To enhance farm mechanization and reduce labor, key machinery has been distributed under the RKVY scheme.
- 20 Power Tillers distributed to farmer groups
This complements the 254 Qtl of fodder maize also distributed under RKVY.
8.Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North East Region (MOVCD-NER)
Objective:The mission focuses on developing verified organic production clusters, supporting farmers with certification, and establishing value-chain infrastructure from production to processing and marketing.
Achievements:
- Angjokpani Agro Organic Producer Co. Ltd. is actively operated by its member farmers, who are now engaged in value-addition activities, including the production of ginger candy.
- A total of 2 power tillers, 1 power weeder, 2 grass cutters, and 500 sprayers have been received under Machinery & Support.
- processing infrastructure includes 1 ginger dryer and 2 washers (whose installation is pending due to an electricity issue)
- 1 multipurpose pulveriser was provided under HMNEH support.
9.National Mission on Natural Farming
Objective: It is aimed towards improving soil health and restoring ecosystems and reducing input cost to the farmer to achieve greater climate resilience.
Key Provisions:
- Promote chemical-free natural farming practices.
- Support farmer training and on-farm input preparation.
- Improve soil health, biodiversity, and resource conservation.
Achievemnets:
- Two farming clusters, Dhansiri and Bheloghat, have been formed.
- A total of 250 farmers are selected from both clusters, supported by 4 Community Resource Persons (CRPs)
Cluster Formation & Financial Progress:
Financial transfer update (phase I)
- 42 out of 250 farmers have received their first benefit transfer
- The total benefit transferred is ₹4,000 per farmer, which includes ₹300 per month and ₹400 one-time assistance.
Block Resource Center (BRC) & Outreach
- One BRC has been established in the 7-mile area, Diphu. It is hosted at the farm of Sona Sing Engti, who is a practicing natural farmer in the region.
- Awareness and capacity building programmes for the farmers are conducted in collaboration with the KrishiVigyan Kendra (KVK), KarbiAnglong
10. Paddy Procurement
Achievemnets:
- Targeted Procurement:12,000 MT target set for the current procurement cycle in the district.
- Achieved Procurement:8,080 MT total quantity of paddy procured from farmers to date.
- Farmers Benefited:573 total number of farmers who sold their produce under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme.
11.National Food SecurityMission (NFSM)
Objective: Its key objectives include restoring soil fertility, increasing farm-level net income, and providing support to farmers through incentives like quality seeds, farm machinery, and training
Key Provisions:
- Increase production of rice, wheat, pulses, and coarse cereals.
- Promote high-yielding seeds and quality agricultural inputs.
- Provide farmer training and demonstrations.
Achievemnets:
Mustard (DRMR-15035 and AAU-TS-38 and Black gram seeds (Kota urad -3 and Kota Urad 4) were distributed to enhance food security, crop diversification, and oilseed production.
